Question 1

What are DOTS route markers used for?

Accepted Answer

DOTS (DTS01-DTS97) are small circular photoluminescent markers used to identify escape routes, fire equipment locations, handrails and safe zones on floors and equipment.

Question 2

Should I use a DOTS marker or a standard rectangular sign?

Accepted Answer

DOTS markers are best for floors, handrails and equipment where a compact, low-profile identifier is needed. Standard rectangular signs suit walls and doors where more visible, readable text is required. Many sites use both together.

Question 4

What material are SEASONLITE signs made of?

Accepted Answer

Most signs are Photoluminescent Rigid PVC (glow-in-the-dark). Route markers, tapes and some direction signs use Photoluminescent Self-Adhesive Vinyl for flexible surfaces.

Question 5

How do I clean and maintain photoluminescent signs?

Accepted Answer

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that can dull the photoluminescent coating and reduce glow performance over time.

Question 6

Can photoluminescent signs be mounted on metal or glass surfaces?

Accepted Answer

Yes, rigid PVC signs can be fixed with screws or industrial adhesive on most surfaces including metal, glass, wood and painted walls. Self-adhesive vinyl versions are recommended for curved or textured surfaces.
